ZSR manufactures silicone flat gaskets according to EN 1514-1, the current European standard for non-metallic gaskets on PN flanges. Gaskets for this standard are usually made from compressed fiber sheet, PTFE or rubber. Silicone is a better choice when you need FDA food grade material, a wide temperature range from -60°C to +200°C, or a soft gasket for low bolt load flanges such as plastic or glass-lined flanges. What EN 1514-1 Covers
EN 1514-1 is the current European standard for nonmetallic flat gaskets used with PN-designated flanges, covering ratings from PN2.5 to PN100. Its full title says it all: Flanges and their Joints — Gaskets for PN-Designated Flanges — Part 1: Non-Metallic Flat Gaskets, with or without Inserts.
Two things every European buyer should know:
The gaskets covered here are flat, soft-face gaskets in two forms: IBC (inside bolt circle) for raised face flanges, and FF (full face) for flat face flanges. FF (full face) gaskets follow the flange's full outside diameter and bolt pattern per EN 1092-1 — we cut them with bolt holes to match your flange exactly.
A note on "centering"
Metal centering rings belong to spiral wound gaskets (EN 1514-2), not to this standard. For silicone flat gaskets, dimensional stability under bolt load comes from the material itself — which is why we offer fiberglass reinforced silicone: the fabric insert keeps the gasket dimensionally stable on large DN sizes and high bolt loads, without any metal part. For food lines, this also keeps the gasket metal-free.

The practical takeaway
The three standards describe essentially the same gasket geometry — EN 1514-1 harmonized the German system, and ISO aligned with it. A silicone gasket we cut to one will, in most cases, fit flanges specified to the others.
